A Welcome from the Archbishop
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are entering a new season in the life of the Church — a time of renewal,
mission, and deepening faith. Across the Diocese of Melbourne, I see communities
being strengthened as they gather around Word and Sacrament, and as they seek to share
the good news of Christ in their local context.
In Baptism, we are welcomed into new life. In Confirmation, we are strengthened by the
Holy Spirit for the life of discipleship. In Holy Communion, we are continually nourished
at the Lord’s table. These are not simply moments in the life of the Church, but the means
by which God shapes us as his people.
I give thanks for the faithful witness of Christ Church Geelong, and for all who serve there
with devotion and care. May you continue to grow as a community of prayer, of welcome, and of mission.
May God renew you in his Spirit, and lead you forward in hope.
